THE STORY BEHIND THIS T-SHIRT
After surviving postpartum depression (PPD) after having my twin boys, Henry & Mason, I knew I wanted to make a difference for other mums so they never have to struggle in silence like I did.
PPD was the scariest experience of my life that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
I didn’t enjoy my babies. I didn’t feel like a mum, and I wanted to turn back time.
I felt incredibly ashamed of how I felt and put all my energy into hiding my emotions.
Outwardly, I was the happy, relaxed mum I thought I should be, but inside, I was falling apart.
Luckily, I eventually managed to pull through, but this is not the case for everyone.
There are thousands of mums (and dads) around the world who suffer in silence.
Even if it doesn’t go as far as depression, being a mdoern mum is hard, and it’s often nothing like what we expect.
But since people don’t talk about it, if a new mum doesn’t “enjoy every moment,” she often feels like a failure, suffers in silence, and sometimes falls into depression.
This is the driving force behind my MumsJourney motherhood T-shirt campaign.
To help break the silence abotu rhe unspoken realities of motherhood and show other mums they are not alone.
Trust me when I say that every purchase means the WORLD – not just for me, but for al lthe mums who struggle and feel lonely.
Thank you for your support.
It means more than you’ll ever know.
With all my love,
Ivana xx
