Meet Your Host

Ivana Poku is the author of Motherhood – The Unspoken, founder of Mumsjourney, speaker, and award-winning maternal mental health advocate. She’s also a mum of three boys—including twins—and knows firsthand how motherhood can be both joyful and exhausting.

After her twins were born in 2016, Ivana struggled with severe postnatal depression. It was one of the loneliest and most frightening experiences of her life. On the outside, she appeared calm and happy, but inside she was overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected from herself.

Through her personal journey, Ivana realised that too many mums feel the same way—overworked, unseen, and living on autopilot—yet society rarely talks about it. She made it her mission to change that.

Ivana started her blog, Mumsjourney, to support mums, share real experiences, and provide practical tools to help them feel less alone. In 2019, she published Motherhood – The Unspoken, a book that reveals the untold truths about motherhood, shares real-life stories from other mums, and offers guidance to help reduce the risk of postnatal depression.

Since then, she has run workshops and events—online and in person—helping mums regain confidence, reconnect with themselves, and take control of their lives. Her work has been recognised with awards and featured in media outlets including BBC, Forbes, and The Guardian.

Ivana’s approach is rooted in empathy, real-life experience, and practical tools. She believes every mum deserves to feel seen, valued, and capable of living life on her own terms.

BACK TO YOU, MAMA is her way of giving mums the space, support, and inspiration to put themselves back in the spotlight, reclaim their time, and start living the life they’ve been longing for.
